I've been using my camera LOTS.  I take a lot pictures of nature, woods, sunsets etc.   Really trying to work on taking pictures of people (okay my kids and dh). Every time my boys see me with the camera they smile at me.  I tell them not to.  They look at me confused.  lol

I will upload some soon.  Still trying to decide if I want two accounts.  While I am deciding here is some eye candy for you!

Been working a lot on covers for my various pubs.  I get a lot of compliments on my covers, but always wonder what people really think of them.  Be careful what you wish for... sigh.

No one has out said my covers suck, but someone implied it today.  It hurt alot.  Looking back, I know there are changes I would make to it.  I respect the person who made the comment, so it just made it worse.  

I am self taught and know I have a lot to learn.  I looked at Graphic design schools today, so I may go that route to learn more.  I look at this as a positive experience, and am trying find ways to learn more.  

What would you do?

According to one of the blogs I read two of the bigger New York publishers are going to delay their eBook release by 3 to 4 months after a hardback.  Why?   They do not want to embrace a new publishing model.

I hope that some of my favorite authors aren't with those two houses, because I will quit reading them.  Why should I be punished because I want to read on my iPod touch or another device.  

Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Sony are having record sales with their eReading devices.  Why aren't these publishers changing with the market?

I may quit reading everything out of NY, because it just doesn't seem like publishers care about the reader at all.  Sigh

Why can't new york get their heads out of their buts?  I stopped reading TOR books, because they are not available in eBook.  I have found some recently in kindle format, but they are not embracing the change.  They publish SCI-FI.  Why are they fighting technology?  OY!

I am specifically referring to the bigger NY publishers.  I read a lot of Small press and ePublished works.  I work for several of the smaller presses.  They are embracing eBooks and are profiting from the new formats.

Okay, done with my rant for the day.

My birthday is Monday, but my husband gave me my present early, a Cannon EOS Rebel XSi.   I am so thankful he did. I have taken over 400 pictures in the last 48 hours. I have wanted an SLR digital camera for several years.

Now that I don't have to worry about the price of film development, I can go HOG wild. I got some great pictures of my boys and a neighbor yesterday as well as some textures.  My husband is baffled with the pictures of rust and wood grain, but I am excited about taking and using my own stock.
